Abstract

Dr. Saleem Ali, Professor of Energy and the Environment at the University of Delaware and Senior Fellow at Columbia University’s Centre on Sustainable Investment, explains his perspective of the challenges of global cooperation concerning the green energy transition. He explores the relationship between climate issues and social justice and posits that focusing on green development without addressing social development results in conflict, offering several global examples. This is the second presentation of a six-presentation series titled “Toward Environmental Justice: Transition to a Sustainable Future."
