In their addresses, delivered at the dedication ceremony and dinner of the Statton Learning Commons, Vice President for Advancement & New Strategic Initiatives Jim Watt, Juniata College President Jim Troha, former Pennsylvania state senator Jake Corman, and former Board Chair Tim Statton (‘72) alongside his wife Kathy Statton (‘72) appreciate the people and resources needed to get the project completed and showcase their excitement for the grand opening in the spring semester. Later in the evening, at the dinner portion of the dedication ceremony, Provost Lauren Bowen of Juniata College, the Dr. Charles R. and Shirley A. Knox Professor of History at Juniata College Dr. James H. Tuten, and Director of the Statton Learning Commons Justine Black convey their excitement about how this new installment expands the accessible opportunities afforded to students at Juniata College to learn and challenge themselves moving forward in the 21st century.
