Author Biography

Amy Hanauer

Amy Hanauer is the Executive Director of the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy. She provides vision and leadership to elevate accurate research on tax policy. ITEP finds that progressive, adequate taxation helps deliver racial, economic and climate justice. Amy previously founded and for 20 years ran Policy Matters Ohio, an Ohio-based policy research institute. Hanauer’s work consistently employs research and data to promote policies that create jobs, fund services, and promote economic and racial equity.
