Some Advice from an Obscure Economist who Teaches at an Unknown Central PA College

Abstract

Brad Andrew, Professor of Economics and International Studies at Juniata College, shares advice he’s gathered over the years at the 2024 Awards Convocation. From life experience, he encourages us to focus on gratitude, seek help when needed, celebrate loved ones, and be kind to others. Lastly, he explains the importance of working at a place that encourages being a better person. For him, that’s Juniata College, where he feels professors derive success from helping their students succeed in the world, and he encourages students to stay in touch after leaving campus.
