Abstract

Dr. Gabriela Cuadrado-Quesada, Senior Lecturer and Researcher of Water Rights and Justice at IHE Delft, discusses water-focused environmental justice movements, using examples from Bolivia and Costa Rica as case studies. She explains the definition and origins of environmental justice and explores concepts such as power distribution and equitable decision-making processes. As an environmental lawyer, Cuadrado-Quesada works with community-led justice movements and offers her first-hand experience with water justice.
