Miguel Ontiveros Alonso, Distinguished Visiting Professor of Politics and a Fulbright-García Robles Mexico Studies Chair, explores the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) and how human trafficking, corruption, and environmental crimes are connected to the foreign exchange of products. In facing these issues Alonso discusses the potential implementation of a common system that ensures the protection of victims' rights, the curation of a common strategy on security and actions against organized crime, and the creation of criminal legislation to punish criminal organizations between the US, Mexico, and Canada.
